ASCEND has an expanding series of human pluripotent cell lines, e.g., WTB, WTC, and WTC-CAG-spCas9—a modified WTC with constitutive Cas9 expression. Both WTB and WTC were reprogrammed from skin fibroblast samples taken from healthy adults of diverse backgrounds: WTC from a Japanese male and WTB from a Hispanic female. Both cell lines have been whole genome sequenced, and donors have consented to public sharing of this sequencing data, which is available to researchers utilizing these lines or their derivatives. All lines are under an MTA negotiated for broad use, including the production and sharing of cell derivatives for research use. In our facility, these cells are quality controlled via regular mycoplasma testing, G-Banding karyotype analysis, and a trilineage differentiation assay.
